Now, anti-gay defendants have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to step in at the last minute.
A judge in Tennessee has upheld that state’s gay marriage ban on the basis of outdated arguments regarding procreation, and more than a dozen couples successfully registered their out-of-state marriage licenses in Mississippi during a coordinated day of action.
