From the producers of “Web Therapy” and the “It Gets Better” project, comes a new series sharing LGBT celebrities’ personal stories of struggle and success.
In this video, Jason Collins, the first openly gay player in the NBA, recalls that it was around age 16 that he realized he was “different.” But it wasn’t until 18 years later that he finally found the courage to come out. In his “It Got Better” story, Collins talks about his entrance into the sports world, being a gay athlete, coming out and how Matthew Shepard’s murder influenced him.
