Harvey Milk ‘Forever’ stamp presented in White House dedication ceremony

WASHINGTON — Today, on what would have been Harvey Milk’s 84th birthday, the U.S. Postal Service is releasing a commemorative stamp in honor of the slain gay rights activist, who becomes the first openly LGBT elected official to be featured on a U.S. stamp.

The White House Office of Public Engagement, the United States Postal Service and the Harvey Milk Foundation are hosting a first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony for the Harvey Milk Forever Stamp at the White House.
