Robertson blames Satan for gay rights, recalls when gays were stoned to death

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the “700 Club,” Pat Robertson said that Satan is behind homosexuality and that Jesus wouldn’t have served gay couples since they would have been stoned to death.

Robertson made the remarks following a report on a Colorado baker who was sued for refusing to serve a same-sex couple and the controversy over Arizona’s so-called “religious freedom” bill. The segment included interviews with the baker, his attorney, a sympathetic customer and three conservative activists. It didn’t feature any interviews with people defending the gay customers.

“What is it about gays? What is it about abortion? Have you ever thought why they’re on the forefront right now? Both of them deny the reproduction of human species,” Robertson said, adding that homosexuality is “a meaningless exercise because it doesn’t go anywhere.”
