PORT BOLIVAR, Texas — Deputies in Galveston County, Texas, are investigating the murder of a lesbian couple from Houston whose bodies were discovered next to a convenience store dumpster in Port Bolivar, Texas, on Friday morning.

Investigators have identified the victims as Britney Cosby, 24, and Crystal Jackson, 24. Family members said the two women had been together for two years, reported KTRK-TV.

Relatives say the two women went to Galveston for Mardi Gras. Authorities say they were killed in different ways, and it’s possible the suspects murdered them elsewhere and moved their bodies.

Deputies were following up on a new lead Saturday after family members say one of the victim’s debit cards was being used.
