Matt Damon, left, and Michael Douglas, who star together in HBO’s film, “Behind the Candelabra,” will serve as presenters at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 22, 2013, in Los Angeles.

Damon and Douglas are both nominated for outstanding lead actor in a miniseries or movie for “Behind the Candelabra.” The HBO biopic about pianist Liberace’s affair with Scott Thorson has 15 nominations in all.

Both men have previously been up for Emmys four times. They were last nominated as outstanding guest star in a comedy series. Damon was nominated for the award for “30 Rock” in 2011, while Douglas was nominated in 2002 for “Will & Grace.”

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live Sept. 22 from the Nokia Theatre. Neil Patrick Harris is the host.
