A new picture book from Amber Dee Parker and illustrator Hannah Sequra teaches children about “God’s plan for families between one mother and one father.”
Entitled “God Made Dad & Mom,” the book tells the story of a young boy named Michael who prays that his classmate Jimmy and his two dads will learn “the truth” about how God made them after a trip to the zoo where he’s told all animal families “consist of a male, a female, and their offspring.”
The book proudly displays an endorsement “by the president of the American Family Association.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center classifies the AFA as an anti-gay “hate group.” Its president, Tim Wildmon, has said gay couples make him want to throw up and that homosexuality is something to “be ashamed of.”
