QOM, Iran — The Mashregh News, a state-controlled Iranian media outlet, has published a report asserting that the “Zionist regime” of Israel, along with Jews in the U.S. and the United Kingdom were financing efforts to “spread homosexuality” across the globe.
The report — “Understanding the Hidden Dimensions, and the Promotion Of Homosexuality” — also claims that the ongoing efforts to contaminate the world with “homosexuality” is part of the larger goal to pursue world domination by the Jewish state.
The report blasted Israel for promoting public pride demonstrations for LGBT equality rights and specifically labeled its largest city, Tel Aviv, as the “gay paradise on earth.”
It also ridiculed those affiliated with Conservative Judaism for accepting gay rabbis, and urged Western governments to stop people from engaging in gay – and therefore immoral – actions, and provide medical treatment for homosexuals in order to stop their conduct.
The report also details “abuses of humanity” by western powers in allowing “homosexuality” to exist citing Hollywood as a major source of the spread of homosexuality which the authors of the report label as “promoting perversion & a disease.” The report’s authors also took aim at social media giant Facebook.

Dr. Wahied Wahdat-Hagh, an expert on minority groups in Iran, told The Jerusalem Post last week that the article is “against gays, against the West and anti-Semitic.” He added that “the text legitimizes the execution of gays in Iran; they made a text not only to ridicule the West but to provide a reason why Iran executes gays.”
In an email to the Post, Saba Farzan, a German-Iranian expert in the field of human rights in the Islamic Republic, said “This recent attack on human decency by the Iranian regime is tragically not surprising, but these vicious words continue to hurt.”
“Once again this barbaric dictatorship has revealed its hatred towards gays and lesbians as well as towards the State of Israel and Western countries,” wrote Farzan. “This is especially ridiculous as in the Middle East, Israel is the only state where the gay community is safe and protected,” she continued. “The Islamic Republic shows with this uncivilized world view how desperate it actually is.”
