Tim Pawlenty: the science on whether being gay is a choice ‘is in dispute’

Republican Presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty, appearing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” said that “the science” on whether being gay is a choice is “in dispute.”

“There’s no scientific conclusion that [being gay] is genetic. We don’t know that,” Pawlenty said. Watch:

Pawlenty also said that, “As to gay marriage, I’m in support of traditional marriage as between a man and a woman. I have not supported the issues of allowing gay couples to have the same benefits and public employment as traditional couples.”
