Matt Barber, the Director of Cultural Affairs with the so-called Liberty Counsel, said on his program this week that the children of gay couples are nothing more than “little props.”
“So you’ll see these two men with these two or three little kids — little props on their lap — and they’ll put this out there as this material to show what a loving and kind environment it is. But, you know, my reaction is, my heart just breaks for these children. That’s how you get this kind of propaganda in the minds of children.
“They now, they understand, the left understands that the children are the future, and that they have to re-educate kids to put aside their natural reactions and innate understanding of, ‘What is a family? What is a mom and dad?’ They have to reeducate that out of them in order to promote their postmodern sexual anarchy.”

Meanwhile, my heartbreaks for the kids who have to grow up with parents like Mr. Barber. My heart breaks for the kids who will live their lives in orphanages because the gay couple down the street weren’t allowed to adopt them, thanks to bigots like Barber.
In fact, a small part of my heart even breaks for Barber, who seems to have no idea what love is.
I wonder if Barber is also going to call the children of all the Republican Presidential candidates ‘little props’ as well?

I notice that he did not complain when the Republican contenders spent the first few minutes of CNN’s debate earlier this month bragging about how many kids they had (Michelle Bachmann easily won that battle). Nor has he ever complained about all the babies and young children that conservative Christians drag to abortion protests.
But I suppose that wouldn’t fit the anti-gay agenda.
