Linda Harvey, founder of Columbus, Ohio-based Mission America — whose sole purpose is to denounce homosexuals — has called the “It Gets Better Project” “wrong,” “evil” and “dark,” and it’s creator Dan Savage “a radical and vicious, vicious, vulgar, profane, anti-Christian.”
This It Gets Better campaign is a video campaign that a lot of the leftist politicians including our president have jumped on board, so have some celebrities.
It’s supposed to encourage kids, that’s great. Encourage kids, say, you know if you’re having trouble, you’re getting bullied, you feel despaired, don’t give up.
That would be a worthy goal if they stop there. But no they tag on to it approval of homosexuality and the implication that anybody who objects is just like those bullies out there and they’re leading you or others into suicide.
That’s just wrong, it’s evil, it’s dark, this Dan Savage has already come out attacking my friend Peter [LaBarbera].
Harvey, who spreads her hate via her radio show on WRFD in Columbus, and also writes commentary for WorldNetDaily, spends much of her time hobnobbing with other haters, including the American Family Association and the Family Research Council — and her friend LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth, another leading anti-LGBT hate group.
Her sleazy little website is chock full of attacks against every conceivable effort to promote the safety of LGBT youth.

Personally, I often wonder if the vehemence with which such people persecute the LGBT community correlates to the amount of sexual fantasies they have about people of the same sex. ;) May not be true all the time, but I have a gut feeling a big percentage are guilty of their own sexuality, in a big way.

How sad that her nose is all out of joint because her right to “object” (and note how she uses such an innocuous word, yet pours invective on Mr. Savage) to homosexuality is finally being seen as the soul-destroying bigotry that it is. Here’s a newsflash: continually conveying the notion that homosexuality is “an abomination” (to quote her holy book), inherently degenerate and morally evil actually can and does cause queer youth to despair so profoundly that it will lead to their suicides. Her astonishing lack of compassion nauseates me.

Ms. Harvey, this is not a nation of priests, nuns or virgins. This is not a nation that was built on anyone’s religion. This is secular nation, governed by secular laws, based on a secular Constitution. The Founding Fathers were very clear about that last fact. SECULAR.

When unbiased individuals read the comments that follow this story, they would likely conclude that those supporting this project are in fact vulgar and disrespectful people who when lacking anything substantive to say, resort to name calling and demonizing. If you stick to factual information, instead of childishly attacking the person’s appearance and name-calling, you might earn some credibility.
