  7. @Safe Bet. Darlecia is right. And if I remember correctly Obama has already tried more than once to fight for that right as well. So its more on congress at the moment.

  8. @ Allie: Obama is the head of the Executive branch of our government. The Justice Dept. is part of the Executive branch of our government. Obama is ultimately in charge of the Justice Dept. = “Obama Justice Department Defends Defense Of Marriage Act – That Candidate Obama Opposed”

  11. Thank you so much President Obama. I am one of the service members who has had to hide who I am as an individual and never allowed to talk about my beautiful family. It has been so stifling for me the past 7 years but now there is hope. I applaud you and your administration for getting this important legislation passed!

  15. Actually I’m sure Obama was biting his tongue when he was signing it since he is against the entire thing. He’s such a goddamn cotten picking hypocritical moron. He’s all talk and no action. All he ever does is sweet talk everyone. He wastes time playing basketball when things need to be done yesterday!

  16. And how is this a step?…It has nothing to do with what is going on HERE. Screw the troops. We need things done for us HERE and now. If he was going to “really” help he would have gotten everyone back over here where they belong. He needs to stop supporting rape and murder
