Anti-gay groups speak out on ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ call homosexuality a ‘deathstyle’

Several leaders of anti-gay groups held a press conference Thursday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, DC., to voice support for maintaining the failed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on gays in the military.

The press conference coincided with the release of a report, “To Keep Our Honor Clean: Why We Must Oppose the Homosexual Agenda for the Military,” issued Wednesday by the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property, a right-wing Catholic group.

The report claims that allowing gays to serve openly in the military will increase the rate of sexually transmitted diseases among the troops.

This increased disease rate has led some to refer to the homosexual lifestyle as a “deathstyle.” Inclusion of this deathstyle in our Armed Forces is a dangerous proposition, indeed.

You can read the report here; following is a clip from yesterday’s press conference:

CPAC is the nation’s largest gathering of conservatives annually.

Along with its usual anti-gay presence, this year the gay conservative group GOProud is one of CPAC’s co-sponsors.
